News · 27 Oct 2026: Umbraco has released security updates for CMS, Forms and AI. If you're on version 13, 17 or 18, it's a regular update. Versions 14–16 won't receive a patch and need to be upgraded. On Umbraco Cloud, the CMS part is handled automatically.

Which version are you running?

  1. Log in to Umbraco (typically yoursite.com/umbraco).
  2. Click the Umbraco logo in the top left – the version number is displayed there.
  3. Can't log in? Send me the site address and I'll figure it out.

Developer? The version is also in your project's .csproj under Umbraco.Cms.

How much does it cost?
It depends on the version, packages and custom code. Once I've reviewed your site, I'll give you an estimate – before I start any work.
Will the site need to go offline?
No. I work on a copy and test everything before it goes live. The actual switch typically takes just a few minutes.
How long does it take?
A patch can often be done the same day. An upgrade across multiple versions takes longer – you'll know upfront.
Can you help if someone else built the site?
Yes, that's actually the typical case.
What if I'm on Umbraco Cloud?
Security patches for CMS and Forms are handled automatically, but I can still help with upgrades and development.
